Bio: Vipin Gopal is the Enterprise Vice President of Clinical Analytics at Humana. In this role, he is responsible for the organization that develops and applies analytics to advance Humana’s clinical strategy, operations, quality and outcomes. Dr. Gopal is an expert in developing differentiating analytic competencies and has led analytic organizations in multiple Fortune 100 companies ranging from industrial conglomerates to healthcare over the past 15+ years.

Dr. Gopal obtained his doctorate from Carnegie Mellon University and B. Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, both in engineering, and has an MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business. He has more than 20 publications and has five U.S. patents awarded/pending. Dr. Gopal has served on the organizing/advisory committees of many international analytic conferences and was previously on the editorial board of IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology. More recently, he was the chairperson of the World Congress Leadership Summits on Predictive Analytics held in 2010 and 2011, and the Data Analytics Summit in 2012, delivered the Opening Plenary at the National Predictive Modeling Summit in 2013, and was awarded the Analytics Leadership Award by Kelly School of Business in 2015. Dr. Gopal is active in the community and is currently Chair of the Advisory Board of Greater Louisville International Professionals (GLIP), and is a member of the Board of Directors of Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC) Foundation.
